Grant Jordan came to Broude Smith from this interesting place called “the real world.” After graduating with a Master’s degree in Construction Administration, Grant began his career as a Project Engineer with a national construction management firm, where he acquired relevant experience in the management and delivery of large-scale commercial construction projects of varying complexity. In the process, he learned about design, procurement, and delivery methods, the importance of accurately documenting scopes of work and change orders, and the ins and outs of managing subcontractors and resolving construction disputes.

After several years of hearing various industry professionals explain what they thought the law was, Grant decided he wanted to learn the law himself and went to law school while continuing to work in the construction industry.

Immediately prior to joining the firm, Grant served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Fort Worth, which afforded him the opportunity to testify before the Texas Legislature, draft and submit legal briefs to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, and counsel various City departments on construction, real property, and public information matters.

Grant brings a unique perspective to private practice that enhances our ability to service our real estate and other clients, and we are glad to have him on board.

In his spare time, Grant spends time with his two boys and coaches 4 and 5 year old boys’ t-ball.
